A 5 Digit 7 Segment Display, also called a Five Digit Seven Segment Display or Five Digit Numeric LED Display, integrates five numeric digits into one display package. It is suitable for applications requiring values from 00000 to 99999, including measurements, accumulated counts, settings, weights and equipment parameters.
Each digit contains seven LED segments that illuminate in different combinations to form numbers from 0 to 9. Integrating five digits into one package provides consistent spacing and alignment across the complete numeric readout.
A five-digit display offers a wider numeric range than standard three-digit and four-digit displays. This makes it suitable for equipment that must display higher counts or more precise measurement values within a compact panel area.
Alfa Electronic Components supplies six Five Digit Seven Segment Display variants covering digit heights from 0.23 inch to 0.56 inch. The range supports compact electronic instruments as well as industrial devices requiring clearer panel visibility.
Compact Display Sizes
The 0.23-inch, 0.30-inch and 0.36-inch variants are suitable for compact PCB assemblies, embedded devices, portable instruments and space-restricted control modules.
These displays provide a complete five-digit readout while keeping the overall package width and height suitable for smaller enclosures.
0.39-Inch Display
The 0.39-inch model provides a practical intermediate size for measuring instruments, electronic counters, controller panels and monitoring equipment. Its 50 × 13 × 7 mm package offers clear numeric indication in a relatively slim body format.
0.56-Inch Display Options
The 0.56-inch range includes two different package widths:
- 63 × 19 × 8 mm
- 50 × 19 × 8 mm
These options allow buyers to select a standard-width or more compact package according to the available PCB and enclosure space.
Multiplex Drive Operation
All listed Five Digit Seven Segment Displays use multiplex driving. The five digits share segment connections and are activated sequentially by the control circuit.
At a correctly configured refresh rate, the digits appear continuously illuminated. This driving method helps control multiple digits using fewer connections than five completely independent displays.
A suitable microcontroller or display-driver circuit, digit-selection sequence and current-limiting arrangement are required for proper operation.
Common Anode and Common Cathode Options
The range is available in both Common Anode and Common Cathode configurations. The required polarity must match the intended display driver and circuit design.
Common Anode and Common Cathode models use different current-driving arrangements and should not be treated as automatically interchangeable.
Decimal-Point Configuration
All listed variants include five decimal points. These points provide flexibility for displaying decimal measurements and different numerical formats.
The required decimal position is controlled through the electronic circuit. Buyers should verify the exact decimal-point connections and pinout of the selected model.
Unified Product Selection
All six Five Digit Seven Segment Display variants are presented under this range for convenient technical selection. Buyers can compare digit height, body dimensions, model number and datasheet availability through the product grid.
